I am so glad that you found the site easy and the service good.

I am not sure I can add an awful lot more to this other than to say I came across Patch utterly by accident! The lady who was running it had her stall at a show I went to and I instantly fell in love with the clothes.

They are something very different with lovely colours (browns, olives and other jungle inspired colours) along with the most amazing hand drawn designs. The fabrics are all 100% fare trade cotton sourced in South Africa, made to the highest standard in a fare trade factory over there and then sent here. That, to me, is an amzing thing as most people don't think clothes nowadays can be reasonably priced and be fare (the clothes are in a price range of aprox £10 - £25). The clothes are made to be worn and the finish on them is superb - not you avarage wear it twice and it falls apart.

I also offer a party plan - you get a group of like minded friends together who would be intersted in the clothes and I bring the full range to your house!

If you like that idea you will love our clothes - www.patchclothes.co.uk - please look us up and see what you think.

Thanks again
Sabina

Re: Clients

Thanks Bob. It helps to append opted-in and deliverable email address to generate contact database. However the generated data is authenticate using automated and manual verification. The automated verification will use proprietary tools or software rectifying errors automatically; on the other hand manual verification would be carried out by analysts to correct typo and spelling errors. Thus allowing it provide clean and efficient database.

Re: Email Marketing is Dead

Hi Omar

It is interesting to note your policy with email even with those that you have subscribed to.

Email is the backbone of marketing communication on the Internet mainly because it is a one to many medium. Although from the readers perspective it is one to one.

The problem as you point out is the balance has shifted from communication to selling, this is possibly a sign of the times. I always direct my clients to use it as a content medium with some sales or marketing 80/20 or 90 /10 are good proportion and it is good to test the list.

Social Media is a fantastic tool for being sociable and having fun, there are people using it as an effective sales medium. However anyone in business needs to really know that there clients are listening, as the effort and time that it takes could often be put in to more productive marketing channels.

Thanks for your comment it is really good to get feedback on a blog post.

All the best to you

Paul Harvey

Re: Email Marketing is Dead

I rarely open any solicitation emails anymore even from people I've subscribed to. I believe email just isn't meant for full blown marketing. On the web people look at things on their own time. I'm just not going to read an email about your new product right now. Social media and real time I believe is the new answer until the fundamentals if how email works is revised. I'd probably look at it if you were my friend on facebook.

Re: Email Marketing is Dead

Thanks for your comment Dennis

My inbox is filling up with emails that I have subscribed to, as time goes by this list is growing and because I do not respond or buy the senders response is to up the frequency. I'll look forward to connecting with you in future.

You're absolutely right about the value of the content and underplaying the salesy elements. It's one think I'm always impressing upon my clients that a blog is there to inform, educate and entertain; essentially build a relationship, rather than to sell your product or service.

Thanks again
Kirsty

Re: Timing is Everything

You are spot on Katherine, by maintaining a consistent relationship with the prospects a level of trust builds up to overcome purchase resistance. They get to feel that they are in relationship with you and value your judgement or opinion.

Purchase timing is dependent on many factors and the type of market, I have heard it described as range of thoughts for example. "I need" can be a low grade desire, "I want" has more intention and "I have got to have it." has no boundary.

It is also related to the sad fact the two thirds of people are motivated by pain over gain.

All the best to you

Re: Timing is Everything

Thanks for this reminder Paul. It ties in well with my thinking that the decision to buy has to be taken before the sale is made. If the customer hasn't decided, there is no sale, it is as simple as that.
So then, how do we know if the time is right? By taking the long-term view, keeping the conversation going, being there when the decision will be made. Maintaining contacts who welcome you doing so has to be the key.

Re: RichThinking is Good News - MARKET-THAT.com

Hi Paul,
I stopped listening to the news about 30 years ago! Many people are addicted to listening to and watching it. I have had it said to me that I am irresponsible somehow by not listening. That I am not participating in some way in the world. My response to this is that I do act with responsibility in the world. I care about the world and demonstrate that in my life, (for example, in the 90s I founded the largest circulation green publication in the UK, Green Events and I did this without listening to or watching the news) and, to turn it around, I believe that not taking in the news is a responsible act, not irresponsible, and I encourage others to do it too. We do not have to immerse ourselves in a river of negative images. When I need to, I find out what I need to know. In all these years I have not suffered any loss or disadvantage in my life that I know of from doing this. How much RichThinking to get on the news? Very little. Have you heard of Positive News? It is a great newspaper, I recommend it.
Best
Philip

Re: Woolworths makes way for something new.

Sadly Woolworths allowed their Market to disappear: the major supermarkets began to offer more non food. CDs and DVD sales moved online. It's not what you have it's how you use it!

We've used Limesurvey (formerly phpSurveyor) on our own site before now. It's free, but needs hosting and setting up.
